JazzFest Denver is a two-evening festival produced by the JazzFest Denver Society, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. JazzFest Denver takes place in the late winter in Downtown Denver in a cabaret setting, and spotlights Colorado’s own local talent, as well as nationally and internationally renowned jazz groups. Past performers at JazzFest Denver have included: Kevin Mahogany, Wallace Roney, Joe Locke, Thomas Marriott, Ralph Peterson, Mike Longo, Mark Sherman, Joe Magnarelli, Sean Jones Terreon Gulley, Marlena Shaw, Mambotet, Pat Bianchi, Lynn Baker Big Band, Quemando, Joe Bonner, and the Colorado Conservatory of the Jazz Arts Big Band with Erienne Romaine.

JazzFest Denver 2008 is produced by the JazzFest Denver Society, a 501(c)(3) and Colorado non-profit corporation, to benefit The Colorado Conservatory of the Jazz Arts. The JazzFest Denver Society was formed to create and sustain a jazz music festival to preserve jazz music, and provide access to, participation in, and fosters an appreciation of, jazz music in the Colorado community through performances involving renowned local, national, and international jazz musicians. JazzFest Denver also provides educational and performance opportunities for the study of jazz music through student scholarships, mentoring opportunities at its jazz clinics led by festival artists during the week of the festival. JazzFest Denver is also planning to sponsor a jazz camp for students led by professional musicians. The Colorado Conservatory of the Jazz Arts students perform annually at JazzFest Denver, providing them with performance opportunities alongside some of the most renowned jazz musicians in a large festival format. In addition to the jazz festival, JazzFest Denver Society also provides educational opportunities for the study of jazz music open to students from all segments of the community by funding scholarships for students of The Colorado Conservatory of the Jazz Arts (CCJA) , jazz clinics conducted by festival performers, and jazz camps for students led by professional jazz musicians. JazzFest Denver Society also conducts an art poster contest for students at Denver School of the Arts. JazzFest Denver is a non-profit organization comprised entirely of volunteers who help make this important jazz event possible. You can become a part of the efforts to shape the jazz experience in Denver by volunteering and/or by providing financial support.
